Raise The Vote and the Houston Latino Film Festival hosted a contest challenging local filmmakers to create a 90-second PSA or short film. This PSA, which we produced, blends both formats and was awarded 1st place.
Not having produced a short film in a few years I took on the 48-Hour Film challenge with an all-volunteer film crew. We were all new to the 48 Hour turnaround but I felt that advertising had prepared me for it. Our very talented film crew did more than pull it off. We won 2nd Place, for Best Film. "Ghosting" is about two widowers that go out on a first date and are haunted by their x's.
Once again, our film crew pulled it off and further finessed our craft as filmmakers. We wrote, produced, and edited another fascinating short film, "Lovestitched" - a film about a voodoo hobbyist that helps a dad match up his daughter. Our Voodoo Matchmaker gets to work stitching up love, when a little mix-up results in cactus chaos that changes all of it!
