Jeep needed an amazing TV spot to launch the Jeep Commander during the MTV Awards. They initially assigned the project to their larger agency to produce with a larger budget. My sensational creative team, at GlobalHue in Detroit, had a huge element of production, in the works, that drove the concept - music by Missy Elliot. And as a Jr. Producer, I had the luck of being handed down this project as it comprised of working with existing footage. Footage that was shot at Missy Elliot's music video. After a quick review of the footage, I noticed that the Commander was not featured. My solution was to reached out to the client to provide us the CGI model and to have an incredibly talented motion graphics studio weave in the footage with the vehicle as our hero. The results - the client decided to release our spot over the more expensive spot. Our multicultural TV commercial was a huge success. We won a Silver Telly and "Spot Of The Week" on Ad Age. The lesson learned was to believe that every project has the potential to be an award-winning project.
In 2023, as part of the creative team at LNC, we were tasked with launching Walmart +, a retail app, second to Amazon, to Hispanic audiences. Having extensive experience producing integrated ad campaigns for Walmart, an in-depth understanding of the U.S. HA audience, and 20 + years of production experience, I successfully led our creatives through the process from concept to completion. We exceeding client expectations by setting the standard for branding, storytelling and in engaging audiences. Results were delivered. Our spots performed better, with more clicks than other markets. Looking back, I see that it was our understanding of the brand, the service, and the customer journey that was the key to our success.
Alteon reached out to The Company of Others, today, The 9th Wonder agency, to produce their introductory digital video. Transparency was key to their messaging. As their Creative Producer, I suggested the visual concept of showing the camera, film crew, director and behind-the-scenes. Agency and Client approved the idea. I brought on Film Director David Norton. The agency was not familiar with his work. But once they saw the first cut, F-bombs were dropped. The really, really good kind. The biggest challenge on this project was the budget. Our Director solved this by using his own, small hand held camera as our third camera. I'm so grateful to the account and creative team for trusting me to resolve budgetary issues by bringing to the table the right team with the can-do spirit for the project.
